Tiwa Savage has sparked talk about her future in music after saying her next album might be her last. This comes after she turned several fans into millionaires overnight at a recent promo event for her new single.

The 44 year old mother of one said this via an Instagram story, she’s tired and she’s done. In her words, “This might be my last studio album. I am tired, I have tried.”

Fans and colleagues are reacting to this news. Some are sad, others are commending her for her impact on Afrobeat and the music world. Some think she might be taking a break or switching to other areas of the music industry instead of quitting.
Tiwa Savage, the “Queen of Afrobeat” has had a career spanning over 10 years. She has given us hits like “All Over”, “Somebody’s Son”, “Eminado” and has been a major player in putting African music on the global stage. Her third album “Celia” released in 2020 made it to the Top 20 on Billboard’s World Albums chart.
Apart from music, Savage has dipped her hands into acting and production. In 2023 she co-produced and starred in the movie “Water and Garri” which is inspired by her EP of the same name. The movie was shot in Cape Coast, Ghana and shows off her versatility as an artist.
She also performed at King Charles III’s Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle in May 2023, a proof of her global recognition and influence.
Savage hasn’t given reasons for her retirement but her recent Instagram post suggests she’s ready to explore other areas beyond music. Fans are now waiting for her album and hoping it will be the final chapter to her music journey.
