“I’m the African artist to win a BET award but you guys give credit to Davido” – Ice Prince Zamani
Nigerian rapper Panshak Henry Zamani, popularly known as Ice Prince Zamani, claims he was the first African artist to win the BET award.
“I’m the first African artist to go on a BET stage to receive an award solo; when you guys talk about it, you guys give the credit to Davido,” Ice Prince Zamani said.
In a recent episode of ‘Listening,’ Ice Prince, who won the Best International Act, Africa Award in 2013, claimed that he was the one who broke the jinx, not Davido, who was mistakenly credited by fans.

In 2018, Davido won the BET Best International Act award after capturing the hearts of many with his speech, claiming he expects more collaboration between US and African music.
