“I Won’t Reach Out to Burna Boy” – Cynthia Morgan

Nigerian singer Cynthia Morgan aka Madrina has spoken on why she has no plans to reconnect with fellow artist Burna Boy despite the pleas from fans. In an Instagram story, she explained that the issues from the past won’t let her reach out.

Morgan recalled that in 2016 Burna Boy denied impregnating Uju Stella—a claim that was a big deal back then. She said she didn’t believe him back then and that’s what strained their relationship. She said many men “lie and get angry when you don’t believe them” and Burna Boy’s reaction was typical of that.

She wrote:

“Those of you sending me messages to reach out to Burna Boy, I won’t. If it was me, I would reach out but he is probably still mad I didn’t believe he didn’t impregnate Uju Stella in 2016. That’s what most men do. They lie and get mad when you don’t believe them… something he finally admitted to online 8 years later. Leave me alone. All the best, Damini…”

The 2016 Uju Stella incident was a big deal, Stella alleged Burna Boy got her pregnant and Burna Boy denied it and it was a public spat. Morgan’s recent comments suggest Burna Boy may have finally admitted to it years later but we can’t confirm.

Morgan and Burna Boy worked together on “Acting Bad” in 2016 so they were professionals but their relationship has since gone sour. Her recent comments show the issues are still there and she has no intention of rekindling their past.
