” I refused to pay for the Award Plaque”-Yemi Solade
Nollywood actor, Yemi Solade was denied an award because he refused to pay for the award Plaque.
The Veteran Actor, wrote on his Instagram page this morning, ” I refused to pay for the AWARD PLAQUE … this is the outcome”
Allegedly, a newspaper organization called ”Nigeria News Direct” reached out to him to receive an award, on the condition that he would pay for the Award Plaque that would be presented to him on the award-giving day.
According to Yemi, he refused and one of the News paper’s team members sent him a message which says, ” Good morning, sir, trust you had a good night rest. I reverted your response regarding sponsorship to the management.
However, I think it doesn’t sit well with them as they also disclosed how much the Plaques cost.
Hence, you can pls attend but the award plaque may not be presented in order to save cost.
Thank you for your understanding, sir.”
