Speaking on her show, ”tokemoment”, Toke confessed that she used to be teary when she remembered she was single and childless at 40.
Recall that Toke had staged a lavish ceremony to mark her 40th birthday and a thanksgiving service last year.
She asserted that she used to ask herself how she became 40, single, and childless. She added that if she had gotten married again, she would have been divorced again because the lesson kept coming and regret was exhausting.
While recording herself, she encouraged people to get comfortable with speaking their truth. She noted that if people can tell themselves about the ugly truth, they will become beautiful.
Toke added that they cannot shame the shameless because that was where she was at that time.
She encouraged people to change their mindset and be positive about their life. Makinwa opined that despite being unmarried and childless, she was still grateful and is one of the strongest voices in Africa.
The media personality also mentioned that she is a boss, and she has built an empire. Makinwa also pointed out that she loves what she does and does not wake up miserable daily.
Sharing further, she said that life was about perspectives.
Her fans and well-wishers weighed in their opinions, they encouraged her that there is more to life than marriage and that being alive and healthy is the utmost price.
