“How Pheelz got me into YBNL” – Adekunle Gold reveals

Speaking about his ten years in the entertainment industry, Adekunle Gold recently discussed how singer/songwriter and producer Pheelz helped get him signed to YBNL by Olamide.

Adekunle Gold celebrated the tenth anniversary of the release of his first single, “Sade.”

Adekunle Gold made his debut in the Nigerian music scene in December 2014 with the smash song “Sade.”

The song, which was a rendition of the mega hit “Story Of My Life” by the British boy band “One Direction” went viral and helped Adekunle Gold gain widespread recognition and fame.

Speaking about his ten years in the business, Adekunle Gold recently discussed how singer-songwriter and producer Pheelz helped get him signed to YBNL by Olamide.

The singer revealed that he had worked for Olamide before being signed to the label.

Adekunle Gold was a graphics designer for the label and created some of the cover art for its singers, such as Viktor and Lil Kesh.

On how he got signed to the label, AG Baby, as he’s popularly nicknamed, disclosed that Pheelz heard ‘Sade’ and spoke to Olamide to consider signing him, and the rest, as they say, is history.

With the release of his critically acclaimed debut album “Gold,” which featured the hit songs “Orente” and “Pick Up,” Adekunle Gold experienced widespread success under YBNL.
