A gün making factory has been uncovered in Akwa Ibom state. The Akwa Ibom State Police Command discovered the !llegal gün manufacturing facility run by a family.

Güns are allegedly produced in this factory and sold to cr!m!nal elements in the country.

During a press conference at the Command Headquarters in Uyo, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph O. Eribo shared this information on Monday.

The briefing focused on the command’s accomplishments in combating cr!me and made a presentation of various cr!m!nal susp£cts apprehended throughout the state.

CP Eribo explained that the gün making factory was uncovered following reliable intelligence received by the command.

Police operatives acted quickly, raiding the facility and arr£sting one individual, while several others managed to flee.

The Commissioner of Police confirmed the arr£st of a man named David Nse Emmanuel, while his father, Akpan Nse Emmanuel, along with his brothers, escaped.

The police listed Items recovered during the operation were seven newly made single-barrel g√ns, five newly made double-barrel g√ns, one special steel double-trigger p!stol, one broken single-barrel g√n, one trigger-handle walking stick knife, and several cut iron pipes used for constructing g√n barrels.

CP Eribo assured that efforts are ongoing to arrest the escaped suspects at the cr!me scene and trace those who had earlier purchased or ordered f!re@rms from them.
