The incident happened on February 5th, when attackers allegedly shattered a window to enter the residence while Giroud and his family were abroad, according to TMZ Sports via L’Équipe.

The 2018 World Cup champion and his wife’s priceless belongings were among the pilfered goods.

Despite starting an investigation, local officials have not yet made any arrests.

Giroud, 37, spent three years with AC Milan before joining Los Angeles FC last summer.

He joined the MLS squad under former French national team captain Hugo Lloris, but he has battled with form, making just 14 games without scoring.

This break-in is part of an increasing pattern of prominent football players being targeted by criminals when they are not at home.
