The Enugu State Police Command concludes the trial of the Inspector in Ogene musician’s demise according to a statement released by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the trial found the Inspector culpable. He was handed the maximum penalty of dismissal from the Nigeria Police Force and now faces prosecution in accordance with the Police Act and Regulations of 2020.
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) for Zone 13, which oversees the Anambra and Enugu State Commands, reviewed the trial’s recommendations and approved the decision to dismiss and prosecute Inspector Joseph. As part of the next legal steps, Inspector Joseph was arraigned at the Enugu East Magistrate Court on October 28, 2024, to face charges related to the death of the musician.
