Drama erupts as producer accuses Niphkeys of stealing and selling beat to Odumodublvck

Nigerian producer has claimed that well-known music producer Niphkeys sold a beat to Odumodublvck after stealing it from him.

The charge first appeared in a tweet that was posted on his account on the social networking site X.

VRT97 revealed that in November of last year, he sent Niphkeys a beat he had created, hoping for a response.

However, months later, he discovered the same beat had been used in a song by Odumodublvck, allegedly sold to the artist by Niphkeys.

Outraged, he publicly called out the producer, writing, “Sent Niphkeys my bro’s song in November just to find out he remade the same beat for Odumodu. Why’s the music industry so cruel?”

Niphkeys responded by refuting the claims, claiming he never even read the singer’s message.

He fired back, writing, “If not that you are stupid, you will see I didn’t even open your message when you sent the song. It’s still showing sent. Stupid fool!”

VRT97, however, persisted, accusing Niphkeys of deleting multiple tweets to cover his tracks.

He wrote, “If you aren’t lying, you won’t have deleted over four tweets, Thiefkeys.”

In an effort to clear his name, Niphkeys posted a screenshot demonstrating that he bought the beat online.

The artist, however, rejected the proof, claiming that the producer had stolen his beat.

Below are some comments on the post….

@realworyor: “The tone in question is on a public website.. anyone can get it. Most of you guys judge from emotions and not from facts… and that’s totally wrong!

@wene084: “I get that Nigerians like to play the victim card and channel their aggression towards anything that looks like an injustice, but that’s not the case here. It’s very possible for two producers to use the same sample, this is just a matter of sheer coincidence.”

@BiGTaiKun: “That’s a different beat to it. difference in your lyrics to his. What he Re-made like you said is authentic. I don’t see any cruel action being made.”

@01uwadamilare: “Niphkeyz’s is commenting under the post and not quoting the post even as big as e is, that’s so respectful of him. Setting the record the straight. Splice is for everybody that is a music producer and you pay to use it.”

@PapiTimi_: “Cmon bruhh no tweaking , no changes, just copy and paste. Even Shazam will find it hard differentiating both song. Talmabout “it’s a guitar sample from splice that you paid for”😏 Wetin man do man.”
