Doyin David Claims Women Should Hold N5-10 Million in Savings Before Getting Married

According to reality personality Doyin David, a woman needs to have at least 5 to 10 million Naira in her account before considering marriage.

Doyin stated this in an interview with former housemate Chizzy for her podcast, “Doyin’s Corner.”

Doyin clarified her remark by saying that having a sizeable amount in an account is crucial so that the woman can get back on her feet in the event of an emergency.

Using her family as an example, Doyin David described how her mother, who had her money and was also employed, took up all the duties following the death of her father.

“At whatever level you are, you need to save up some money. For example, after my dad died, he left a lot of money. I never got to do anything. Up till now, I don’t even take public transport. I don’t know how to do all these house chores because of how I was brought up.

Assuming if my mother didn’t have money saved up. What will have happened? Because it took a while to access my dad’s money after his death. I didn’t feel the absence of my dad until after years because my mum took over the responsibilities,” Doyin stated.
