Declan Rice blasts Arsenal Teammates after Manchester United draw: “A Bit of stupidity”

Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice attacks team’s performance after their 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday.

While Rice’s crucial second-half goal earned the Gunners a point at Old Trafford, he was far from satisfied with his side’s overall display, particularly in the final stages of the match.

Rice acknowledged that Arsenal had some excellent moments in the first half, but he was quick to point out that they lacked the clinical finishing needed to convert their dominance into goals.

“I think in the first half we had some beautiful bits of play but lacked that clinical cutting edge,” Rice said after the match.

Despite controlling much of the possession, Arsenal failed to capitalize on their chances, which left the door open for United to strike first through Bruno Fernandes’ brilliant free-kick.

The game then took a turn when Rice equalized for Arsenal, but his tone shifted when discussing the second half.

He was particularly critical of his team’s play in the final 10 minutes, where their naivety almost allowed United to steal a win. “In the second half, we did things we haven’t done all season,” Rice said.

“We were very naive in the last 10 minutes. We could easily have handed the game to Man United because they have that individual quality and threat.”

He pointed to what he described as “a bit of stupidity” in those crucial moments when Arsenal failed to maintain control and composure.
