Dangote Truck Jam Vehicles, K!lls 3 and Leave Many Inj*red  

A truck identified as Dangote truck has caused a major c@sualty in Ayetoro Market in Epe.

At least, three (3) people have l0st their lives while many others were injured as a result of the accid*nt

The Dangote truck allegedly suffered a brake failure, leading to a fatal accid*nt at the market of Ayetoro junction along the Lekki-Epe axis of Lagos State.

The incident occurred as the Dangote truck was coming down from Ita-Opo and lost control. It then collided with a tricycle and a parked Toyota Camry under the traffic light at Ayetoro.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the Dangote truck, unable to halt, rammed into the Ayetoro complex and market area, disrupting the whole area.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, with a tow truck already working to move the wrecked vehicle and clear the roadway.

Authorities have implemented temporary traffic diversions to reduce congestion and ensure safe passage of people

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), in a post on its official X handle (formerly Twitter), confirmed that three corpses from the incident have been deposited at Epe General Hospital m0rgue.

The released statement reads;

“A fatal accid*nt occurred due to a brake failure of a truck descending from Ita-Opo.

It hit a commercial tricycle and a parked Toyota Camry before ramming into the Ayetoro Market/Complex.

Three lives were lost and they’ve been taken to the m0rgue at Epe General Hospital while we have a Tow truck on ground to evacuate the affected vehicles.

Traffic has been diverted for easy vehicular movement”

People traveling have been advised to avoid the Ita-Opo to Ayetoro route and instead follow the detours provided, from Ita-Opo to Shade or via the roundabout near the General Hospital.

Drivers and pedestrians are further encouraged to adhere to the redirected pathways to avoid further disruptions as authorities manage the situation.
