Following Speed Darlington’s arrest for defamation of Afrobeat songwriter Burna Boy, the controversial singer Speed Darlington, aka Akpi, has been in detention for a month.

It seems like Burna Boy and Cubana Chief Priest Saga will liberate Akpi.
Cubana chief priest in his recent story on Instagram promises to use his influence to release Speed Darlington on Monday, 5th January 2025.
“Tomorrow we are coming for you, Akpi Uwamama. Monday is almost here; make we now show power,” Cubana Chief priest wrote.
His decision to release Akpi was triggered as a result of his saga with Burna Boy, the Afrobeat songwriter. Burna Boy recently gifted Cubana Chief Priest’s alleged brother $30,000.
The businessman popularly known as “Money nah Water” claims it’s time for him to show Burna Boy he has more influence.
