Court orders for the arrest of Mercy Chinwo’s manager for diverting $345,000 from her royalty

The federal high court in Lagos has ordered the arrest of Ezekiel Onyedikachwukwu, aka Eezee Concept, for the diversion of $345,000 from Mercy Chinwo’s royalties.

The popular gospel singer Mercy Chinwo filed a petition against her former manager, Ezekiel Onyedikachwukwu, for diverting her royalties from her digital platforms.

In the petition, the gospel singer Mercy Chinwo claimed her manager has diverted a total sum of $345,000 without remitting her share.

The order was granted following a motion filed by the Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

Ezekiel Onyedikachwukwu will be arraigned before the court on 24 January 2025.

Following the previous cases happening in the entertainment industry between record labels and artists, that of Mercy Chinwo’s has also raised concerns as Nigerians wonder what could be the problem.
