The actress claims Hilbert falsely accused her of “snatching” boyfriends from other colleagues, including Hilbert’s alleged rich boyfriend.

The controversy unfolded when Hilbert publicly accused Etiko of engaging in an unethical relationship with her partner and allegedly stealing other colleagues’ boyfriends.

These accusations have caused significant damage to Etiko’s reputation, prompting her legal team to act swiftly.

In response, Etiko issued a cease-and-desist letter through her legal representatives, Chisom Onugah and C.C. Nwabundo, demanding Hilbert retract her defamatory statements.

The letter, signed on a Saturday, gives Hilbert 48 hours to issue a public apology and withdraw the allegations. Furthermore, Etiko is seeking N100 million in damages for the harm caused by the defamatory statements.

Destiny Etiko shared the legal correspondence on her Instagram page, where she strongly denied the allegations made by Hilbert.

According to Etiko, the accusations were entirely false and part of an attempt by Hilbert to gain material benefits by tarnishing her reputation.

The actress emphasized that these unfounded claims were not only harmful to her career but were also a deliberate attempt to create controversy and attract attention.
