BREAKING NEWS: Lagos teacher pleads not guilty to @ssaulting 3-year-old pupil and gets N200,000 bail

Stella Nwadigbo, a teacher at Christ Mitot School, who was detained for @ssaulting a three (3) year old child, has pleaded not guilty to a charge before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court.

According to the report, she has pleaded not guilty, and the court has granted her bail of two hundred thousand Naira (N200,000).

The bail given to Stella Nwadigbo has stirred reactions among Nigerians, as many claim she should have been jailed for such a case while a few others agreed the case was bailable.

A user with the handle @Olamide_Oni on X said:

“What she did stands condemned. Justice seems to move at lightning speed when the accused is a regular citizen, but let it involve the rich or powerful, and suddenly, it’s a marathon of endless delays, technicalities, and dragging. This selective application of justice is a national disgrace. Why is accountability swift only for the powerless? Shame,” he wrote.
