Miss Universe 2024 second runner-up and Nigeria’s beauty queen, Chidimma Adetshina, Nigeria’s beauty queen recently posted the emotional journey that she took on her way to the global stage showing the challenges she faced along the way with her mental health.

Due to her award-winning performance at the pageant, Adetshinam earned the title of Miss Africa and Oceania strengthening her position as an international beauty pageant. Chidimma recently spoke in a BBC interview reflecting on her rise to fame admitting that she never thought she’d make it.

In her words, “I had already made peace with being in the top 30. That alone felt like a victory to me,” Chidimma confessed. Her humility and perseverance resonated with many, as she revealed the immense pressure and emotional toll the competition took on her.
After reflecting on her rise to fame, Chidinma Adetshinam opened up about the mental health challenges and struggles she has faced so far, admitting that the intensity of the pageant left her drained emotionally.
She said, “Not many people understand what I went through,” adding that she needs therapy during the highs and lows of her journey.
