
A vi0lent clash between members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has led to the d£aths of two individuals, including Aderemi Abbas, the chairman of the Irewole Local Government Area.

Abbas was ass@ssinated at the entrance of the local government secretariat in Ikire on Monday, February 17, 2025, marking a disturbing escalation in political vi0lence within the region.
Abbas, who had previously served as the local government chairman after being elected in January 2018, was reportedly ki!!ed after a vi0lent confrontation erupted between APC and PDP members.
According to security sources, the vi0lence occurred when APC members attempted to enter the local government premises and encountered a group of PDP supporters.
The two factions, allegedly accompanied by arm£d thug$, exchanged g@nfire, resulting in multiple injuries and the d£ath of Abbas.

The vi0lence didn’t stop at Ikire. In Iragbiji, located in the Boripe Local Government Area, clashes erupted when APC members, accompanied by their supporters, clashed with suspected PDP loyalists.
The d£adly confrontation took place near Oke Osun river, where g@nshots were exchanged, leaving one person d£ad and several others wounded.
