Burna Boy sends strict warning to Akpi following his release from Kuje prison
Following Speed Darlington’s recent release after he was detained for two months, Afrobeat songwriter Burna Boy has sent a strict warning to Akpi.
In his deleted story on Instagram, Burna Boy wrote that he will show no mercy should Akpi repeat what he did that led to his arrest.

“If you like misbehave again, you will go back to where you’re coming from! And this time around, there will be no mercy!” He wrote, followed by a hashtag that says, “Don’t mess with DOG.”
The whole issue started a few months ago, when Speed Darlington related Burna Boy’s Grammy to American singer Diddy’s baby oil case.
The Afrobeat singer Burna Boy filed a petition against Akpi, which led to him being detained.
Though his arrest raised serious reactions, as many claimed the Nigerian police force has been compromised after failing to grant Akpi bail for a civil dispute between him and Burna Boy.
There’s joy in the air as the controversial songwriter Speed Darlington regains freedom.
But Burna Boy was too quick to send a strict warning following Akpi’s release from Kuje prison.
