Bright Ofuelu denies Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido’s alleged $11M concert payout

Top show manager debunks rumors suggesting that Nigerian music superstars Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido were paid a combined $11 million to perform at an oil giant’s year-end event.

Bright Ofuelu, an experienced show manager, took to social media to address the trending misinformation, confirming that payments were made to secure these artists; the quoted figures are far from reality.

The rumors, which got fans talking about the financial possibilities of Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

The show manager, Ofuelu, however, set the record straight in a series of tweets, calling out the exaggerated claims as “pure FakeNews.”

Dollar was paid for top performances,” he said, “but the figures being quoted online are pure fabrication.”

He urged fans and media outlets to verify information before circulating such claims, emphasizing the damage misinformation can cause to brands and stakeholders.

The manager, at the center of the controversy also issued a statement, denying the alleged $11 million payment.
