BREAKING: Super Eagles AFCON 2013 winner, Brown Ideye joins Enyimba
Super Eagles AFCON 2013 winner Brown Ideye has agreed to join Nigerian Premier Football League giants, Enyimba, until the end of the current season for an undisclosed fee.
Enyimba’s Sporting Director and former Super Eagles forward Ifeanyi Ekwueme confirmed the deal, stating, “We have been discussing with him for several weeks and he agreed to play for us. We are very happy to have a legend in our club.
Ideye will be with us until the end of this season, and we believe he will strengthen our team’s att@ck as we compete in the league and the continent.”
Ideye, who has been without a club since he left Kuwaiti side Al Yarmouk in 2022, is set to return to Nigeria’s top-flight, following in the footsteps of former Super Eagles teammates Ahmed Musa and Abdullahi Shehu, who currently play for Kano Pillars in the Nigerian elite division.
This move marks Ideye’s return to the domestic scene 17 years after he left Ocean Boys in 2007, where he clinched a league and cup double in 2006.
Hopefully, Ideye will do a good job for the Nigerian Premier Football League giants. He needs to put himself in the spotlight, since he has been without a club since 2022,
