BREAKING: Simon Ekpa To Be Extradited To Face Court Charges.

The Nigerian Defence Headquarters, Abuja, has stated that the self proclaimed Prime Minister of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Simon Ekpa, will be extradited to Nigeria to face the charges against him.

Brigadier Gen. Tukur Gusau, the Director of Defence Information said the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Chris Musa, was delighted with the way Ekpa’s trial was handled. He revealed this in a press statement made to SaharaReporters. “CDS is happy with his arrest in Finland, with the hope this will be a step towards his extradition to Nigeria so that he will face justice,” Gusau asserted.

Ekpa was accused of using social media to spread ill propaganda of separatist nature to IPOB- a group linked with pushing for southeastern secession in Nigeria. The court held that the offenses held against Ekpa date back to August 23, 2021. It has also been disclosed that Finnish authorities have found Ekpa guilty of financial crimes in the past. Including situations of funds collection through questionable means.

Simon Ekpa is widely known in Finland as a local politician who is affiliated with the National coalition party. Having served as a deputy councillor and a representative of the party, he has utilized social media as a tool for boycotting election and fostering Biafran objectives, all this from his home in Lahti, Finland.
