Breaking: Omoyele Sowore calls for a revolution on Tinubu’s Administration

Popular human rights activist, and former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (2023) Sowore Omoyele, has called for an immediate revolution on the current administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Recall that, President Bola Tinubu, in a Nationwide broadcast delivered this evening 18th March 2025, on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), declared a state of emergency in Rivers State and suspended the Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy Governor Mrs Ngozi Odu, and House of Assembly members for six months.

This comes after the recent happenings in Rivers state. There has been a serious power tussle between the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, and the Former Governor, Nyesom Wike (now FCT minister).

In a post on Twitter now X Sowore, kicked for an immediate revolution on the current government, ”WAKE-UP CALL: A state of emergency should be declared on the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu regime, and Nigerians must recognize that the time for such action IS NOW!”.

Recall also that Ushie Rita an NYSC member had recently gone viral after posting a video on TikTok where she lamented about the country’s worsening economic conditions and openly criticized Tinubu’s administration.

She later alleged that she had received thr3ats over the video and had been invited by her Local Government Inspector. This news sparked widespread debate among Netizens which prompted a 30DayRantChallenge on social media where people rant about the state of the economy.

This and many more have been brewing like a time b0mb, Netizens are unhappy and a lot of people including celebrities have kicked against the suspension of Siminalayi Fubara without any punishment for Nyesom Wike.

Hopefully, all these will be sorted out and the country can be in peace.
