For five years, Christy has been on the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons’ (NAPTIP) wanted list.

She was a major player in a global human tr@fficking network that mostly operated in the Middle East and had its base in Dubai.

On October 13, 2020, she was first taken into custody by NAPTIP in the Ikpoba Hill area of Benin City for her role in the tr@fficking of young Nigerian females to Dubai, for forced prostitution.

She was charged in November 2020 and released on bail.

She broke her release conditions, nevertheless, and ran away to Dubai, which resulted in a bench warrant for her arrest in November 2021.

After her arrest, the Federal High Court in Asaba, Delta State, found her guilty in absentia in March 2024, and her punishment is still pending.

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) assisted in her arrest by responding to a watchlist request from NAPTIP on February 22, 2023.

Director General of NAPTIP Binta Adamu Bello commended the NIS for their contribution to Christy’s apprehension, emphasizing the successful interagency cooperation. Bello further assured that attempts are being made to capture any remaining tr@fficking network members.

Osas Wiseman, Vivian, Michael Nduka, and a certain Prophet John in Lagos are among the Christy’s accomplices who are still at large.

These people are thought to have helped recruit and move victims to Christy’s tr@fficking organization.
