Bobrisky Calls EFCC Nigeria’s Most Wicked Agency

Nigerian socialite and crossdresser, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky has come for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He labeled them as the most savage people in the country. This came after the EFCC asked for public sympathy after one of their officers died during an operation in Anambra State.

In a series of posts on his Instagram stories, Bobrisky expressed his dislike for the EFCC, he said “I just don’t like reading anything about EFCC online, cus I feel like I want to throw up each time I read about them”. He further lambasted the commission for asking for public sympathy, he said “You are asking the public to be human about the loss of one of your staff but you are the most wicked people in Nigeria.”

Bobrisky also shared his own experience with the EFCC, he said his house was searched based on money laundering allegations. He said, “When I was in your custody, you took me to my house and searched my house. I asked you guys why, and you said I’m into money laundering, you want to check if I’m not printing money in my house”. He concluded by saying “Police are better than you all one million times…”

This is not the first time Bobrisky will be having a problem with EFCC. In November 2024, he was re-arrested by EFCC operatives in Lagos while trying to board an Amsterdam flight. He was arrested for not responding to multiple summons regarding the allegations he made against the commission. Specifically, Bobrisky had said in a voice note that he gave EFCC officers ₦15 million to drop money laundering charges against him, an allegation EFCC denied and is currently investigating.
