“Beware of Declutter businesses” – VDM warns, calling out ‘Clean Household Items Abuja’
On the reel again, the self-acclaimed “online police”, Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as Verydarkman has brought to the fore a clandestine activity of a declutter company on Instagram called “_Clean-Household_items_Abuja”
In a video, he explained that declutter companies are some of the online platforms that sell old household items at cheaper prices. The prices become cheat because in most cases, owners of those household items might be travelling and need to sell of their property to raise more money or to free the space where they are.
One Princess, who’s the owner of the Abuja based declutter company ‘Clean Household Items in Abuja’ has collected seventeen million, two hundred thousand naira (N17.2M) from a client which is supposed to be for used household items as advertised on the declutter page on Instagram.
According to VDM, and the evidence on the video as shared by VDM, the business collected the whooping sum because they wrote on their page that “payment validates order”.
This policy, VDM claimed, is a trap those companies use to rip people off their moneys without keeping to their promises.
After the customer paid the different amount of money in batches to the tune of 17.2 million naira, the lady went blackout and would not reply or chat again till the time this report is compiled.
As he posted the video, he tagged it “You can’t run away from VDM, I will collect that money back 17 million won’t go like that.”
This shows VDM’s daring commitment to retrieve the money back from the business owner.
This has stirred netizens’ reactions,
“Collect it back yeah, you are doing well”
“Go collect am nah make we see!!”
“You just spoil your business because of N17M that you will still return. Because they’ll surely catch you and you will cough out all the money.
