Popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer Bella Shmurda reveals he does not smoke “Igbo.” In a recent podcast, the Afrobeat artist admitted he stopped smoking four years ago.

“I used to smoke Igbo before, but I stopped because I started having anxiety. and I started getting scared of the future,” said Bella Shmurda.

“I only take cigarettes and liquor, and that makes me good,” he added.

When asked if smoking Igbo helps Bella’s musical creativity, because according to some artists, smoking helps their musical creativity and stage performance.

Belle Shmurda explained how smoking was not helping his music creativity but rather giving him anxiety and getting him scared; he stated how smoking Igbo sometimes affects his rehearsals.

“Whenever I smoke Igbo, I can just be in a rehearsal, and the next moment I will stop everything, just lost in whatever I’m doing,” he said.

It is quite difficult to see an Afrobeat singer who doesn’t take Igbo; the clip attracted different reactions from people as they doubted if he was telling the truth.
