Bandits abducted 4 family members in Kaduna, demanded ransom, and k!lled a vigilante member in Kasangwai, Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State. This happened last Thursday, around 10:43 pm.
A community leader who confirmed the incident to Daily Trust said contact was established with the abductors on Saturday, November 16, around 5:12 pm and they demanded N30 million ransom.
He said the victim, Alhaji Saleh Adamu, alongside his wife and two children, were whisked away by bandits who invaded his house in the community.
He said Alhaji Adamu, who is into cattle business had just returned from the SCC village market in Kachia LGA, when the bandits with their AK-47 rifles raided his house.
According to him, some vigilantes upon hearing the sporadic gunshots, quickly engaged the bandits but were overpowered, leading to the death of one of their members.
