The England international has been sidelined for 11 weeks with a hamstring problem, missing key matches, including the latest 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Speaking after the draw, which saw Arsenal share the points with Manchester United thanks to goals from Bruno Fernandes and Declan Rice, Arteta addressed questions about Saka’s recovery.
The manager revealed that the young winger is progressing well and could be back in action soon.
“After the international break, let’s see where he is,” Arteta said in his post-match interview. “He feels really good. He’s really willing. We are positive that he will be back within a few weeks.”
Arsenal’s next match is an important one, as they face PSV in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie. Having won the first leg 7-1, Arsenal are in a commanding position but will be keen to finish the job and secure their place in the next round.
