Ruben Amorim becomes the second coach to win his first Manchester derby at United
Manchester United on Sunday, December 15, 2024, won city rivals Manchester City 2-1 at Etihad.
The clash between both rivals at Etihad was dramatic, as we saw Manchester United bounce back to a stoppage time comeback.

36 minutes into the game, Manchester City took the lead with a goal from Gvardiol.
Just when Pep Guardiola and the team thought they had won all three (3) points, 88 minutes in, Amad Diallo won a penalty, which Bruno Fernandes converted, equalising the game 1-1.
The Ivorian international player Amad Diallo struck again two (2) minutes after the first goal, converting a mistake from Kyle Walker to give the away team the lead.
During a press release, Rúben Amorim admitted he always believed in stoppage minute goals.
“It was incredible. It was Sir Alex Ferguson’s time; I believe in it… something MAGIC happened, Rúben Amorim said.
“I think we deserved it. It was a very tough match, but we believed until the end. We managed to score; we needed that win; it was important for us and for our fans”.
