This tradition is normally done at the lady’s father’s house, where the man and his family come for both families to know each other.

An X user claims this tradition used to be a simple parlour event with less cost some years ago.
She lamented how the outfit for introduction used to be simple, before this generation started wearing expensive clothes.
“Introduction outfit is supposed to be simple; you are basically introducing the families. It was simple until you people started wearing damask 350k and putting up three tents,” she wrote.
She claims the essence of the introduction was for both families to get to know each other, not for fashion.
A lady with the handle @TaiwoTee narrated how her marriage introduction years back was kept simple; her husband’s family only came with a basket of fruit.
The occasion was held in her father’s parlour with just a few people in attendance.
The post sparked concerns from people about marriage introduction and how it has changed.
