“Wizkid changed my entire music career with just one verse’ – Terryapala
Nigerian Afrobeat songwriter and singer Terry Alexander Ejeh, popularly known as Terry Apala, explained in a podcast how popular Afrobeat artist and Grammy winner Wizkid changed his music career with just one verse.
Apala Disco remix featuring DJ Tunez, Terry Apala, and Wizkid was released in February 2024. The Afrobeat song was a hit in Nigeria.

Terry Apala admitted how featuring Wizkid in the song helped promote the song; he advised other artists to feature a bigger artist if they want to promote their songs.
“I feel Wizkid looked at me and was like, this guy don too suffer, just 12 bars from him change everything for me. He is like a shortcut, imagine you want to get to 100 places in terms of PR and Wizkid jumps on your song, he has covered 60 already you just need to do the remaining 40,” Terry Apala added.
In other words, he claimed DJ Tunez was like a second God to him; he also explained how DJ Tunez called him to work on Apala Dsico.
