Manchester City may face relegation as verdict for breaching Premier league financial rules

Premier league champions Manchester City were charged 115 breaches in February 2023 for breaching Premier league financial rules.

The club has denied all claims as regards to premier league financial rules.

Following investigations by the league that was concluded on Friday, a verdict is to be passed in few days as all investigation has been concluded.

City, who have won four Premier League titles in a row, are accused of failing to report accurate financial information for nine seasons dating between 2009/10 to 2017/18, as well as failing to provide details of Roberto Mancini’s pay between 2009/10 and 2012/13.

Failure to provide full details of monies paid to players between 2010/11 and 2015/16 and failing to co-operate with the board is also charged against them.

Considering the current performance of Pep Guardiola and the team, if found guilty the team might likely be relegated.
