”The Police has refused to release Speed Darlington” -Deji Adeyanju
Social media personality and Lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has claimed that the Imo state police have refused to release his client, singer, Speed Darlington or take him before a judge to face trial.
Recall that the singer was earlier arrested and released in October over a petition written against him by his colleague, Burna Boy. He was re-arrested in Owerri, in November for jumping bail, and since then he has remained in the police custody.
In a post shared on his page this morning, Adeyanju said the singer has not been released nor has he been charged to court. According to Deji, the police refused to release Speed on grounds that the last time he was released on bail, he failed to show up when he asked to.
“The @PoliceNG,@PoliceNG_CRU have refused to release Speed Darlington or take him before a judge to face trial on the childish excuse that the last time they released him to me, he travelled to the US. This narrative is f@lse because we told them he was going to US to return.”
