James Brown Discusses the Complexities of Being a Man Today
James Brown, a controversial crossdresser, has talked candidly about the difficulties of being a man and expressed his annoyance with cultural norms and the demands of masculinity.
James questioned why he was born male in an honest post that included a risqué photo, underscoring the excessive expectations placed on men. He bemoaned the persistence of problems like war and strife in many civilisations dominated by men, highlighting the weight of leadership that is frequently placed on men.
James Brown went on to criticise society’s expectations of men, pointing out that they haven’t changed since the time of slavery.
He maintained that these standards do not take into account men’s fundamental requirements or offer significant assistance for their welfare.
“I woke up today, thinking, why am I a man? This country is in a hot mess because of a man, 99 percent of the countries ruled by men are fighting a war because of men, as a man there are so many expectations from the time of slavery, that have not been changed, from the traditions and culture, and yet none of these feeds, or pay our bills, if you check now it always a man. In the end, God bless the human species. May God give me the strength and the 99+ others that believe in change”, he wrote.
Social media discussions around gender roles, cultural constraints, and the importance of inclusivity in addressing the challenges encountered by people of all genders have been triggered by the post.
