VDM donates #1.5 million to woman who influencer Ashmusy promised to help over a year ago
Media personality and human rights activist VeryDarkMan donated N1.5 million to a woman who influencer Ashmusy claimed to have helped after using her to create content on social media one (1) year ago.
On December 24, 2023, the popular influencer started an empowerment program titled “Boss Up Empowerment” for young girls. In her video, she claimed she needed to help an aged woman despite organizing the program for young girls.
After interviewing the woman she met, Ashmusy decided to visit her home to see her children and where they all lived.
The woman lives in a dilapidated building with her children. The woman admitted she makes no profit from her plantain business and pleaded with the influencer to help her with whatever she can.
In the video, popular Nigerian influencer Ashmusy gave out food with some money and also decided to assist the woman financially by renting a shop and a house. She also stated that she was going to empower the woman’s business.

The human rights activist VeryDarkMan reacted to the influencer’s post of 2023 after a video surfaced on the internet where the hawking businesswoman stated the influencer did not fulfill her promises after using her to create content and demanding her fans to contribute money to help her.
VeryDarkMan trolls Ashmusy for giving the poor woman false hope of helping her financially; he has decided to keep the businesswoman’s hope alive by donating the sum of N1.5 million to help the woman.
“We will get her a shop and also buy more plantains for her to stock the shop,” VDM said.
The video has stirred many reactions from people, as a woman stated, “That is why I don’t waste my data watching such content faking to help someone online.”.
