[VIDEO]: Award winning Paralympian Esther Ogechika awards scholarship to 20 children at her foundation launch
In a moment of sheer inspiration and gratitude, Reviving Voice Charity Foundation was officially launched yesterday at Obehie, Asa in Ukwa West Local Government Area, Abia State. The foundation, spearheaded by the award-winning Nigerian Paralympian, Miss Esther Ogechika Nworgu, aims to revive hopes and restore dreams for the less privileged.
Miss Nworgu, a globally celebrated powerlifting champion, has consistently brought honor to Nigeria through her remarkable achievements at both national and international competitions. Despite physical challenges, she passionately identifies as “differently able” rather than disabled, using her resilience as a driving force to impact society positively.
The launch of Reviving Voice Charity Foundation marked a new chapter in her mission to give a voice to the voiceless and hope to the hopeless. Twenty children were awarded scholarships and other life-changing benefits to empower them to compete with their peers and reach their full potential.
The event saw an outpouring of support from national and international allies, family, friends, and community leaders, all united in celebrating this remarkable milestone. Notable among the attendees was Orji Josephine Precious, a fearless champion of the Abia State Para Powerlifting Team.
Miss Nworgu expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to the foundation’s success, from planning to execution, and encouraged continued support for this non-political, non-religious, and non-tribal initiative.
Together, we can revive hopes and restore dreams.
