FG Promise to Eradicate Lakurawa and Other terrorist groups

Badaru Abubakar, the Minister of Defense in Nigeria just reinstated the FG dedication to remove Lakurawa and other terrorists in the country.

Alhaji Abubakar made this dedication in Sokoto on Monday after he checked the newly made Airforce component for military operation against terrorist activities, bandits, kidnappings, and other related activities.

He noted that the military took a very narrow decision to mitigate Lakurawa group and their activities through a fully made plan which is targeted to cover the entire Kebbi and Sokoto states.

In his words,

“The chairmen and residents of the affected Local Government Areas attacked by the Lakurawa in Kebbi and Sokoto states have testified to the heavy presence of troops in the area.

“The Lakurawa were sent away from the areas. This is as a result of the resilient and dedication of our security operatives.

“You are aware of the successes recorded by our air force; they bombarded some of the hideouts of bandits and bandits are now on the run.”

The Minister of Defense stated that the important equipment’s and facilities were placed in Sokoto and Katsina states to make sure the plan is well coordinated.

Concerning this, he said:

“We just launched new air component platforms in Katsina and Sokoto states; unveiled latest attack helicopters to fight banditry and Lakurawa and we will redeploy some to other areas.

” The Nigerian Armed Forces are working hard to checkmate Lakurawa and other terrorists in the Northwest.”

Abubakar made a plea for other agencies and citizens in the residing state to support the operations of the military also adding again that the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was fully supporting the plan to rid the country of all forms of criminal activities and terrorist attacks.

He said,” Our focus has been on strengthening what works, refining what needs improvement, and introducing new initiatives where gaps exist.”
