Biography
Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa is a Nigerian politician and businessman of Obe-Nla origin, Ilaje local government area of Ondo State, Southwest Nigeria. He was born on the 12th of January, 1965. He is currently the Governor of Ondo State and mounted the office on the 27th of December 2023 after the demise of his counterpart in office, Rotimi Akeredolu. Aiyedatiwa had been the state’s deputy governor since February 2021 but assumed the acting governor role in December 2023 when Akeredolu went on a medical trip and later died.
Education
As for his education, Aiyedatiwa first attended Saint Peter’s UNA Primary School in Obe-Nla, which he attended from 1970 to 1976. He then proceeded to Ikosi High School in Ketu Lagos, which he duly completed in 1982. He received his Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Economics and Government in 1986 at the Lagos State College of Education, now the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education. In 1991, he continued his education at the University of Ibadan, where he received an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration in 2001.
Aiyedatiwa is also an alumnus of the Lagos Business School, where he took a Post Graduate Certification in Chief Executive Education in 2009, and he also took a Master of Business Administration from the University of Liverpool in 2013.
Family, wife, and children
Lucky Aiyedatiwa is married and has three children with his wife, Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa. He was born into the family of Mr. Titus Akande and Mrs. Rosanah Moyebi Aiyedatiwa.

So far, Lucky Aiyedatiwa is 59 years of age, having been born on the 12th of January in the year 1965.
Career
Aiyedatiwa has extensive experience working in both private and public employment. He started his working career as the inventory/store officer with Scoa Assembly Plant Plc, Lagos, the position he held between 1982 and 1983. He later served as an assistant head teacher and managed to occupy other positions in marketing and management companies.
He established the Blue Wall Group of Companies in 1996, which has many subcompanies in the fields of trading, foreign exchange, and travel.
He has been a politician since 2011, when he dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), now the All Progressives Congress (APC). Aiyedatiwa worked as Federal Commissioner for Ondo State to the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission between 2018 and 2019. He contested for the Deputy Governor of Ondo State in the 2020 governor election and was inaugurated alongside Akeredolu in February 2021. After Akeredolu had to go on medical leave and subsequently die, Aiyedatiwa took over as the acting governor before being inaugurated as the governor.
As of today, November 17th, 2024, he has been re-elected into office as the Governor of Ondo State for a second time.
