“I believe the work we’ve done over the past 10 months speaks for itself,” Aiyedatiwa said confidently after casting his vote.
From visiting communities across all 18 local governments to implementing policies aimed at improving the lives of ordinary citizens, Aiyedatiwa’s strategy resonated with voters.
The Controversies
As with most elections in Nigeria, this one wasn’t without its share of controversy. Agboola accused INEC of bias, alleging that the process was deliberately slowed to favor the APC. “The system is compromised,” he claimed, calling the election a “shameful exercise.”
