As Petroleum Issues Escalate, ANPE Urges Tinubu To Pause Fuel Importation Into Nigeria.

The Association of Nigerian Professionals in Europe have beckoned on the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to take responsibility for the influx of poor quality fuel in Nigeria that could be owed to importation. They disclosed that it could be hazardous to the public, causing severe damages to vehicles and environmental harm in general.
The advice was conveyed by a statement released and signed by the Global President of ANPE, Mr. Solomon Ola. The group articulated their concerns about the potential economic repercussions that Nigeria may suffer if they partake in such an act. They advised particularly against Russian products as they may also bear diplomatic consequences.
The statement, inter alia, read: “The Association of Nigerian Professionals in Europe (ANPE) has followed developments in Nigeria’s petroleum industry with deep concern… ANPE strongly urges President Bola Tinubu, as the leader of the nation, to prevent Nigeria from becoming a dumping ground for adulterated, low-quality petroleum products.” The association sternly warned that products nicknamed “Premium Motor Spirit” are making its way into Nigeria and has been discovered by experts to be “fake fuel”.
Conclusively, the Association urged that a comprehensive and thorough investigation be carried out to inquire into the source of such products and the illegal trade. They encouraged the government to find pure, durable and quality petroleum to help Tinubu’s reforms.
