A lady calls out Ogun State Governor and others for the deplorable road networks that almost claimed her life
An X user, @TheSerahIbrahim, has openly called out the administration of Dapo Abiodun, who is the current governor of Ogun State. In her statement, the lady claimed the roads in the state are so bad that she almost lost her life in the process of navigating them.
She further reported that the deplorable roads have been claiming innocent lives for so long. The lady also pointed out that there was a time a former Lagos State Governor attempted to repair the roads but was stopped by the administration of Dapo Abiodun.
Not stopping there, she also called out the Senator responsible for the constituency, Adeola Yayi, as well as the local government chairman, charging them to wake up and represent their people accordingly.

“I visited a school at Lafenwa Itele around Ayobo and I almost lost my life.
The road was so bad, I have never seen a more terr!ble road in my entire life.
A small 3.6km road has been k!ll!ng people for years especially school children and up until today, the Ogun State govt of @DapoAbiodunCON has refused to FIX IT.
A school bus filled with kids also fell, luckily they were all okay apart from 2 of the children who had injur!es.
There was a deep ditch opposite a filling station and a Sienna with school children was also in it.
That road leads to about 3 Private Universities and over 20 nursery, primary and secondary schools. Just a 3.6km road, and it’s still not fixed for over 18 years.
Funny thing was that the people who came out to help during the accident said it happens on a daily basis and Ambode, the former governor of Lagos wanted to fix the road but Ogun State govt fought him that he was encroaching.
Up until today, Lafenwa-Itele Ayobo road has not been fixed and people have accidents on a daily basis ESPECIALLY SCHOOL CHILDREN.
A 3.6km road has taken lives every year
The Senator @AdeolaYAYI and the Local Govt Chairman needs to wake up.
YOU ALL NEED TO WAKE UP AND FIX THAT ROAD.
What are you doing in office if you can’t rep your own people?”
Her dissatisfaction has led to various comments by fellow citizens who deemed the deplorable road as a reflection of the current state of Nigeria.
@ihekenny – “I served in this place. It’s a pity that no government in Ogun State has fixed this road”
@RamotuOlaniyi – “Did APC tell you they came to fix roads? It’s only hardsh!p they came to give Nigerians. Be guided”
@realTobiAkinbo – “The €x-conv!ct only came to steal. They have nothing to offer but have everything to steal”
@DamilareOdulesi – “Ogun state roads are beyond terrible. The last time there was a mass calling out of @DapoAbiodunCON, some id*ots said it’s tribal victimiz@tion”
@IziGab1 – “The senator and the governor are not sleeping, they just don’t care about the road and the people’s plight. Very typical of the Nigerian politicians”
@OrllieMuon – “20 years ago and it’s still the same. Something is definitely wrong because this is on purpose I mean”
@ShowCeeEmmanuel1 – “I was there 8 years ago and I am so surprised to hear that it is still bad up till date. Ogun state has never been lucky with people they elect as governor”
@iykeinfos – “These people don’t care oh. The money to fix that particular road & the Local Government have being siphoned”
@Tehila_O – ” From Mopol Junction down to Lafenwa, Itele, no good roads anywhere”
