Finally Mohbad’s Wife Omowunmi has agreed to conduct a DNA test on their Son Liam
The late Nigeria Musician Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad’s wife Omowunmi has finally agreed to conduct Mohbad’s son Liam DNA test.
Just a year ago the popular Nigerian musician Mohbad passed on, with the shocking news for the family of the deceased, the father Mr. Joseph Aloba filed a suit seeking a DNA test to be conducted on his grandson Liam.
But Omowunmi took to her Instagram to declare she was never going to conduct any Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) test to determine the paternity of their only son.
She went further to say she had not been with any other man in her life, Mohbad was the only man she had anything to do with.
“I have never slept with any other man in my entire life except Mohbad, and I will never conduct any DNA test on Liam”, said Omowunmi.
“No one has the right to tell me to carry out any test on my son, moreso, Mohbad was the man that took away my virginity”.
In the court’s first sitting on July 9, 2024, at the Magistrate court in Ikorodu, with both attorneys present.
The court ordered both parties should go in a close-door negotiation on the case. But there was no final agreement between the wife of late musician and his family.
But Omowunmi’s attorney Barrister Akingbolu disclosed in his recent video that she has agreed to conduct Liam DNA test.
Barrister Akingbolu claims she is ready to prove to Mohbad’s father Joseph Aloba and the entire people doubting the paternity of her son that Liam is Mohbad’s son.
“She was shocked and sad by the passing on of her husband and that was why she wasn’t ready to go through any stress”. Said by Barrister Akingbolu.
He also claims Mr. Joseph Aloba led a defamatory campaign on social media to accuse her of cheating on her late husband.
Accepting to take a DNA test for her son, was to earn her son’s respect and restore her husband’s legacy.
In an interview previously granted by Mohbad’s father, where he hinted about Liam not being his grandson, went viral.
The late singer’s father revealed some things in the viral interview before insisting that a DNA test on Liam is compulsory.
Mohbad’s Father Speaks about Liam DNA test
Mr. Joseph spoke in yoruba and here is the translation of what he said:
“This autopsy is taking time, I wasn’t aware it would take this long because Mohbad’s corpse shouldn’t be suffering. Concerning the DNA test, it’s a must they do it; Nigerians are demanding it.
I heard rumors that they did it, but no matter what, I’m Mohbad’s father, so I’ll give consent to the DNA test or send anyone who can represent me during the test if I’m not there to know how they’ll do it.
