“Provide evidence I slept with your wife” — Baba Tee tells Ijoba Lande

Nollywood actor Baba Tee has challenged content creator Ijoba Lande to provide evidence of an affair he allegedly had with Lande’s wife.

 The controversy began after Lande accused Baba Tee and 20 other entertainers of being involved with his wife, Dara, before their separation in January 2025.

The dispute ignited when Ijoba Lande posted a video on his Instagram page, claiming that his wife had been unfaithful, and that he only discovered her infidelity after their marriage broke down.

 In his emotional video, Lande made allegations about the people involved in his wife’s infidelity, including pointing fingers at his manager, Mary Gold, who also happens to be Dara’s best friend.

According to Lande, Mary Gold knowingly introduced his wife to Baba Tee, despite being aware of their marital status.

Surprisingly, Mary Gold also accused Baba Tee of sleeping with Lande’s wife, explaining that the actor’s involvement came after Lande insulted him by calling him impotent.

The claims from both Lande and Mary Gold were a significant blow to Baba Tee’s reputation, but he was quick to defend himself.

Responding to Lande’s accusations, Baba Tee took to Instagram, where he categorically denied the allegations. The actor revealed that he had never met or spoken to Lande’s wife before mid-2024. 

He explained that he only became acquainted with Dara when Mary Gold, who had contacted him for a stand-up comedy gig, unexpectedly brought her along to his home. At that time, Baba Tee had no idea who Dara was.

As he continued his account, Baba Tee recalled how Mary Gold casually introduced Dara to him as a content creator and an up-and-coming artist.

He didn’t realize the connection until later, when he overheard a conversation between Mary Gold and Dara, during which Mary Gold referred to her as Lande’s wife.

Baba Tee was surprised and questioned why Mary Gold hadn’t introduced her as such from the start.

In his video response, Baba Tee expressed shock at Lande’s accusations and bluntly stated, “Lande, I am putting this to you, present evidence for the allegations you have made against me. Show proof to the world that I slept with your wife.”
