The claims were shared by social media critic VeryDarkMan, who not only publicized the accusations but also filed a petition against Nedu at the embassies of South Africa and Morocco in Nigeria.
This move further fueled the controversy, drawing widespread attention on social media.
In response, Nedu took to his Instagram story to clear his name, dismissing the allegations as false.
He firmly stated that he had no knowledge of the audio recording and had never engaged in any illegal activities.
“Hello, everyone. This is not a joke anymore. I know nothing about that voice note going around. I did not make that voice note. While this seems to be fun and games, I’ve never and will never be part of anything criminal,” he wrote.
The allegations have sparked debates online, with some social media users questioning the validity of the claims, while others have defended Nedu, urging critics to avoid spreading unverified information.
