Kendrick Lamar is the first rapper to reach over 88 million monthly listeners on Spotify with 88.89 million. With this record, he has become one of the most influential and most listened-to artists in the world.

Kendrick recent surge in popularity can be attributed to his recent releases especially “Not Like Us” and “luther”. “Not Like Us” the diss track to Drake has become a cultural phenomenon, dominating the streaming charts and having everyone in the hip-hop community talking. The song’s hard-hitting lyrics and production have sparked debates among fans and has people engaged on social media. The song went on to win the “Song of the Year” at the Grammys which is another accolade to add to his long list of awards.
