Yul Edochie Goes Back To His Roots After Founding Ministry

Nigerian actor and former presidential aspirant, Yul Edochie has publicly declared his allegiance to traditional African spirituality one year after founding his ministry. In his recent Instagram post, Edochie said he is back to his roots.

In January 2024, Edochie launched the True Salvation Ministry (TSM) and announced it on social media saying he is ready to spread the “word of God”. The ministry had online services every Sunday to reach a wider audience.

But in his recent Instagram post, he said he is back to his roots. He said he has a deep connection to his ancestors and the truth and transparency in their ways.

Edochie has been saying that neglecting traditional ways is the cause of untimely death among young people. He said it’s because society has abandoned indigenous traditions for foreign religions. He believes that abandoning these ways has angered the spirits and the consequences are dire.

In his advocacy for traditional ways, Edochie has also advised people to look into traditional solutions when modern religions don’t solve their problems. He said not all problems can be solved by prayer and encouraged people to go back to traditional ways.

His statement has generated conversation on preserving cultural heritage and the consequences of abandoning traditional ways.
