Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, also known as 2Face or 2Baba, has removed all social media posts pertaining to the speculations around his marriage and the purported separation from his wife, Annie Idibia.

The controversy erupted on January 26, 2025, when 2Baba took to his Instagram account to announce his separation from Annie, his wife of 12 years. In the now-deleted post, he revealed that they had been living apart for some time and had filed for divorce. The original post read:

Not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life but because I love my people and I need them to know my innocence or offense. Stay blessed my people. I love you all.”

Soon after, another post surfaced claiming that 2Baba’s Instagram account had been hacked.

“My Instagram account has been hacked, efforts are being carried out to take back control. #onelove!”

The musician clarified the hacking claim in a video he made after the confusion, saying in Pidgin

“Hello, my people, nobody hacked my account. Na me talk weytin I won yan.”

Fans were left wondering about 2Baba’s marital status and the veracity of the divorce news when it was revealed early on January 27 that he had deleted all associated posts, including the video.

Fans and followers are now wondering if the singer’s previous remarks were the product of personal problems or a PR blunder due to the abrupt removal of content.
