Funke Akindele’s Surprised Reaction to Fan’s Personal Question on Social Media

Nigerian actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele had a surprise on social media when a fan asked a personal question about her life. On January 16, 2024, Akindele posted a series of photos on her Instagram to promote songs from the soundtrack of her new movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa. The post got many comments from fans but one stood out.

A fan asked her how she manages to be intimate despite her busy schedule, she asked: “Mama hope u Dey get time dey collect preek u, u are trying with the hard work. Create time to collect preek and massage. I love u and all u do.” The actress was surprised by the question and responded humorously: “@judasthebeadmaker ha!!! Madamu 😂😂😂😂🏃‍♀️‍➡️”

This got many reactions from other Instagram users, some were surprised by the fan’s boldness. Comments ranged from laughing to disbelieving. Despite the question, Akindele handled it with finesse and humor, she knows how to engage with her fans and still keeps her personal life private.

Funke Akindele is known for her role in Jenifa’s Diary, she has had a successful career in Nollywood. She has been in many hit movies including A Tribe Called Judah which became the highest-grossing Nigerian movie of all time in early 2024 beating the previous records.

Aside from her acting career, Akindele has the Jenifa Foundation which is aimed at empowering young people with vocational skills.

In her personal life, Akindele has had her challenges, two previous marriages that ended in divorce. Despite all these, she is still positive, she said in an interview that she doesn’t see those relationships as failures. She stressed the importance of mental health and personal growth, and advises people not to be pressured by societal expectations of marriage.
